WIRE COATING |
Measuring Coatings on Wires Measure coatings on ferrous wires. Coatings can be chrome plating, porcelain, galvanizing, aluminum, epoxy, polyester, polyethylene, PVC, paint and more... on wires as small as 80 mil diameter (14 gauge) .

ANODIZING THICKNESS |
Measuring Anodizing on Aluminum
Ideal for measuring the thickness of anodizing on aluminum. The NAS probe is specifically designed for high resolution measurement of anodizing on aluminum. The miniature Microprobe is also useful in these applications as it can measure extremely small parts and diameters.
|
CONFORMAL COATINGS |
Conformal Coating Thickness Measurement on Printed Circuit Boards Measure conformal coating thickness on printed circuit boards with copper ground planes. Or use our Ultrasonic gauge to measure a coated printed circuit board with / on an unpopulated surface area of the printed circuit board (PCB).
|
OPC DRUM |
OPC Drum Wear Measurement
Accurately measure the coating thickness of OPC drums. Call for details.
|
PLASTIC PARTS |
Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement of Plastic Parts or Paint on Plastic Thickness Measurement of Paint on Plastic
and thickness of plastic parts. The PT100 is ideal for measuring the thickness of single or multi-coat paints on plastic parts. The PT200 is ideal for measuring the thickness of plastic parts from one side.
|
CONCRETE MASONRY |
Coating / Paint Thickness Measurement of Concrete and Masonry Substrates Coating or Paint Thickness Measurement on Concrete
and Other Masonry Substrates - The PT100 C ultrasonic gage is ideal for measuring most coating on concrete applications with a coating thickness measurement range of 50 to 4500 μm (2 to 175 mils). The PT200 ultrasonic is a less costly alternative t to measure the total thickness of coatings on concrete or other masonry substrates. The measurement range of this gage is 25 to 1000 microns (1 to 40 mils).
|
WINDOWS ACRYLIC |
Thickness Measurement of Aircraft Windows The PT UTG ultrasonic gage is ideal for non-destructive thickness measurement of acrylic or glass substrate thickness between 1 and 50 mm (0.04 to 2.00"). It can detect ware by showing actual thickness at any, or many, points on the window. The PT UTG can be adjusted to a broad range of sound velocities spanning from 0.0492 to 0.393 mils/µs (1250 to 10000 m/s) and it comes with a Plexiglas setting built-in.

POLYMERS ON WOOD |
Measurement of Polymer Coating / Paint Thickness on Wood For the non-destructive measurement of polymer thickness on wood and paint thickness on wood up to 4500 µm (175 mils) we recommend the PT100 or PT200 ultrasonic thickness gauges. The PT200 is a cost effective alternative for total thickness measurement of polymers or paint on wood. The measurement range of this gage is 25 to 1000 microns (1 to 40 mils).
